My Thoughts
Introduction. I needed a keyless solution for a rental property closet to keep property related items safe and secure from the tenants and at the same time, have the ability to provide access to maintenance and cleaning vendors. The Schlage Touch Keyless Touchscreen had great reviews on Amazon so I bought one that matched my existing door hardware.
Installation. Piece of cake. The installation took 20 minutes and that included time for me to snap the photos for this article. I laid all the pieces and parts out in one of the pictures below so you can see what you get. And, I used precisely one tool for this installation, a phillips screwdriver. I am fairly sure that even the most beginner DIY folks could install this in short order. Only item worth noting is the wire that connects the front key panel with the rear panel that hosts the battery, take your time not to pinch it!
Looks & Feels Great. Very nice look door hardware, feels of reasonable quality and everything snapped together as I would have expected. In this case I installed an oil rubbed bronze handle set to match what I already had in the house and it matched very well.
